COIN DESCRIPTION

The Heads side assertively depicts the American Eagle in combative flight.  The ribbon in Eagle’s beak is inscribed with the words, “Libertus Donum Dei”

which is the Latin translation of “Freedom is God’s Gift.”  In the World, freedom must always be achieved by victory over the Prince of Darkness.  The exhortation to “PRAY” is above the eagle and adjacent is the reference to Psalm 91, considered since WWI to be the Soldier’s Psalm.  Immediately below is the reference to “Isaiah 41:10” “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  The Cross is dominantly placed between the Eagle’s two raised wings of flight.  Immediately below the Eagle’s powerful talons is

a portion of Josuha 1:9, “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The Tails side , characterizes the American Eagle poised in an ever ready position of vigilance atop the shield of faithThe Cross, symbolizing our position of faith in Christ is appropriately at the apex of the shield of faith.  Immediately below, 13 Stars and 13 Stripes represent our Nation’s 13 founding colonies.

The Eagle and shield emblem are surrounded by 50 Stars representing our 50 States.  The names of our five Military Services: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard appear as an arch of presence, over the Eagle.  Below the Shield is the statement, “REGNORUM DEUS NOSTER” which is the Latin translation for “OUR GOD REIGNS.”   This is of special importance as our Troops serve in parts of the World where false gods are worshiped.

Every thing underlined and in red appears on the Prayer Coin.

The Combined Forces Prayer Coin includes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. The Coin is solid nickel, 39mm in diameter, three dimensionally embossed with The American Defenders of Freedom emblem on the Head side and the Combined Forces emblem on the tail side.
