History
For
several years prior to the founding of American Defenders of Freedom
in 2005, Bill Hunter was concerned that many dedicated, brave Americans were out
on the front lines defending our American freedom’s without knowledge of and a
relationship with the God of the Bible. His desire is that every American
Defender of Freedom have the opportunity to know the promises of the God that
can be called upon for encouragement, protection and success of mission.
Ever
present in Bill’s mind is the image of a troop in
Iraq
on patrol, approaching a potential hostile situation and not knowing he can call
on God that very moment. He has to be equipped with more than a weapon and body
armor. The Bible is replete with God’s commands and promises of protection,
strength, guidance, encouragement and admonitions for courage.
The mission statement of
American
Defenders of Freedom
is “BRING
PRAYER TO ALL AMERICAN DEFENDERS OF
FREEDOM.” Every facet of the
ministry from its genesis has been
weighed against the mission statement to
determine the viability of all functions
and undertakings. It is the hope
of the ministry that we will remain on
target as long as the mission statement
remains our focus.
