FAITH HIGHLIGHT

Chaplain Trent Jessup

Chaplain Trent Jessup on the far right ministers to a group of Marines and Navy Corpsmen during Operation Talisman-Saber in Australia this last July.  Trent is a Navy LT serving in the Marine Corps.

Trent is married to Page and they have an eight month old daughter, Aurora; and are in the process of adopting two boys from Russia.  As you would be led to pray for Trent, Page and Aurora; please include the two boys.  The adoption  process has been underway for two years.

Trent left a position teaching math in middle school to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC, where he received a Master of Divinity Degree.  At the first Seminary convocation, Trent heard a military chaplain speak and knew that is where God was calling him.  He has been in the Navy since 1996, coming on active duty in 2002.  This includes two tours in Iraq and he is currently serving on Okinawa.  Right after family, Trent enjoys woodworking, hiking and reading.

Please remember Trent and his family in your prayers.
