The photo shows, CH Jason
Peters praying with Senior
Airman Matt Ritchie at Kirkuk,
Iraq.
Today is a special day to introduce
CH Jason Peters as our Faith
Highlight because this day,
November 7, Jason and his wife
Kimberly celebrate the birth
of their second son, Jack Bradley.
He was welcomed into the family
by his sisters: Brittany, Tiffany
and Lindsay and brother, Wesley.
At age 12, Jason living in Sacramento,
California, was introduced to
the thought of becoming a Chaplain
by family friend – an Army Chaplain.
That childhood dream evolved
into reality while attending
Midwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary leading to a chaplaincy
commission in the Air Force.
After serving his first duty
at Offutt AFB, he was assigned
and serving as the 11th
Wing Pentagon Chaplain when
9/11 occurred. That long
day and night, Jason ministered
continuously during the rescue
operation. During the following
months, he led daily prayer
services. He officed in
the Pentagon for the next two
years and was part of the Pentagon
Chapel dedication – the Pentagon’s
first chapel. Jason’s
next assignment was to RAF Mildenhall,
England to serve with the 352nd
Special Ops Group. From
there he has been deployed to
countries in Europe, the Mid
East and served a tour in Iraq.
In 2002 Jason decided to pursue
a Doctorate from Dallas Theological
Seminary. That did indeed
happen and he received his Doctorate
this last May.
Please remember Jason, Kimberly,
Brittany, Wesley, Tiffany, Lindsay
and Jack in your prayers.
